Open Hand

Deuteronomy 24.21
when you cut the grapes in your vineyard, don't take every last grape - leave a few for the foreigner, the orphan, and the widow.
thank you once again for this great great reminder that our source is not our vineyard, our source is not our own fruitfulness, our source is not what you have entrusted to our hands to be provided with, our source is not our provision - but you! we milk you, God, not our resources. we trust in you, God, not in what you have given us. the more we trust you, the more we can live with an open hand, our hands never balling up to squeeze as much as we can from your provision, but always opening up widely for your resources to flow freely as you see fit, trusting you completely that you never ever fall short of anything!
