Deuteronomy 14.29
And the Levite, because he has no portion nor inheritance with you, and the stranger and the fatherless and the widow who are within your gates, may come and eat and be satisfied, that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of your hand which you do.
this word of truth is such an intricate expression of your love, such delicate display of your principles, your generosity, your tried and tested faithfulness. thank you for showing us your way of generosity, for teaching us who are our neighbours, who are the ones we can reach out to all around us, who they are and what we can do for them because what you have done for us. praise you for your thoughts that are so much higher than ours, your plans that are so beautiful in your perfect time, in all your richness and provision. thank you that your love will never leave us behind, hanging high and dry, but will always be there, always has been and always still is. bless you, lord, bless you!
