Deuteronomy 20.1
When you go to war against your enemy and see horses and chariots and soldiers far outnumbering you, do not recoil in fear of them; God, your God, who brought you up out of Egypt is with you.
amen! what a strengthening word! what a sure word of security, very specific and timely as always, God! thank you that you are with us, and having you far outweighs and outnumbers any army, any host, any legion, any enemy - horses, chariots, soldiers, minions and all. we will not recoil in fear of them, because you, our deliverer, our redeemer, our saviour, who has brought us up and out of our old, defeated life, are with us! we have absolutely nothing to fear, truly nothing to fear, because you never stop being with us, you never stop being God, and you never stop what you do. thank you lord!
